Prevent hot tub winter freeze ups with a new product:  The Spa Dragon.

If you live in the Northeast and have a hot tub, you are probably aware of the dangers of a winter freeze up.  The risk is common:  One cold winter morning, you go outside to use the hot tub and instead of finding a warm, inviting bath, you discover a cold tub with an inch of ice on top of it.   Or, even worse, you find an almost empty hot tub.

A hot tub has several electrical components in it that could fail and trip your circuit breakers.  With the breaker trip, no electricity is available to heat the hot tub.  With no heat, the water will slowly cool down to the air temperature.  If the air temperature is below 32 degrees, ice will begin to form.  And if the pipes get filled with ice, they will split open, causing thousands of dollars in damage.  Just one cracked manifold could cost $2000 to repair, and most hot tubs have 3 or 4 manifolds.

If you only use the hot tub a few times a month over the winter, you probably don’t check it too often.  Wouldn’t it be nice if the hot tub told you when there was a problem?  Well now, it can do that.
